We are a global leader in medical device manufacturing solutions. Our automation team specializes in designing and building bespoke, reliable, complete solutions that automate highly complex production processes.

Job Overview
  • You will be part of a growing multi-disciplinary team delivering automated equipment solutions from concept through to full implementation.
  • You will be responsible for machine control system software design, development & commissioning.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
  • You will design and integrate control system software for automated machines including PLCs, Robotics, Motion, HMI, SCADA, Vision.
  • You will develop, test, commission & support machine control software.
  • You will design system architectures, develop process flows and software design specifications.
  • You will design equipment to CE, electrical, machinery safety and clients' standards.
  • You will interpret & develop design & validation documentation required for regulated industries.
  • You will specify control system components.
  • You will collaborate closely within a multi-disciplinary project team.
  • You will collaborate and support customers throughout an entire project life cycle.
  • You will support the improvement & creation of new control system standards and system standardisation with the latest technologies.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • You will have proven experience with automated machine design, specification & development.
  • You will have strong PLC, HMI/SCADA experience essential, preferably with Allen Bradley, Omron or Siemens platforms.
  • You will have experience in software architectures and design including GAMP, ISA88, ISA95, 21CFR Part 11 compliance.
  • You will have experience of equipment testing and debug.
  • You will have ability to create & review technical documentation for regulated industries.
  • You will have familiarity with robotics, motion control, machine vision, pneumatics essential.
  • KUKA/Fanuc robot experience will be advantageous.
Desirable Qualifications
  • A Level 8 qualification in relevant engineering or closely related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience desirable.
