
Family Support Specialist

This is a part-time position that requires 24 hours of work per week, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to a safe and caring environment for children through collaborative teamwork and effective communication.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings to discuss program development and progress, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
- Engage in interagency work, representing the organization in meetings and building strategic relationships with stakeholders.
- Design and deliver engaging programs for afterschool groups, promoting social skills and emotional well-being.
- Facilitate Parents Groups, providing educational support, informal guidance, and connecting parents with relevant resources.
- Record daily reports, attendance, and meeting minutes, ensuring accurate documentation and data-driven decision-making.
- Contribute to the evaluation of programs and groups, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
- Provide family support through advocacy, form filling, one-to-one support, and accompanying parents to meetings, prioritizing their needs and well-being.
- Prepare and serve meals as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with shopping for the organization as required, showcasing a commitment to efficiency and resourcefulness.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Leader, embracing new challenges and opportunities for growth.
The summer program focuses on fun activities and trips, offering a refreshing change of pace and creating lasting memories for participants.
