Job Description:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in producing interesting, engaging and editorially-sound current affairs programming.

  • Assist in the outputting of live studio programmes
  • Book contributors for panel discussions & one-on-one interviews
  • Work within a team of producers and researchers in the preparation and management of high quality journalistic programming
  • Have a commanding knowledge of both traditional and new television production
  • Understand the importance of strong visual and graphics content in TV programmes
  • Source and post digital news content from TV programmes to online platforms
Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in current affairs in television, radio or online media.

  • Thorough knowledge of the Irish political landscape and national and international social, cultural, business and economic affairs
  • A strong contacts book
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure as part of a busy team and meet deadlines
