Maintenance Technician Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining factory equipment and responding to machine breakdowns. This role involves performing preventative maintenance on assets, ensuring the factory operates efficiently and safely.
Main Responsibilities:
- Execute a Preventive Maintenance and Condition-Based program
- Possess mechanical and electrical maintenance experience and/or qualifications
- Deliver high-quality maintenance services to production, ensuring production equipment operates efficiently and safely, in line with the maintenance strategy
- Perform PM routines and support the Production Team in achieving targets
- Monitor line and machine performance and intervene as soon as any deterioration occurs
- Assist with training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies
- Responsible for completing planned work and inputting data into the CMMS system
Requirements:
- A relevant trades qualification - electrician or fitter
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent awareness and experience related to Quality, Health and Safety
- Comprehensive knowledge of high-speed mechanical systems, electrical systems, automation and PLC control systems
- Knowledge and experience in maintenance organization and systems
- Good PC skills required to input data onto the CMMS system
