Linux Platform Architect

A leading technology company is seeking a talented and solution-focused Linux Kernel Engineer to bolster their team. This position is open from senior to staff level.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for defining future high-performance systems-on-chip (SoCs) and platforms, creating optimizations and drivers for high-performance platforms, and executing multi-step tasks requiring simultaneous cognitive abilities and memory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define future high-performance SoCs and platforms
- Create optimisations and drivers for high performance platforms
- Execute multi-step tasks requiring simultaneous cognitive abilities and memory management
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need expertise in developing software virtual platforms, low-level boot firmware, and debugging tools, as well as experience building to platform standards including UEFI, ACPI, SystemReady.
Specifically, you will require:
- Expertise in developing software virtual platforms; low-level boot firmware; and debugging tools, in pre-silicon and on hardware
- Experience building to platform standards including UEFI, ACPI, SystemReady
- Deep understanding of computer architecture concepts, including high-performance designs, weak memory models, server platforms, and the hardware/software interface
- 4+ years of embedded software, and Linux kernel experience
