A snapshot of your key responsibilities as a Linux Engineer would be:

  • Administer and provide day-to-day support for Linux-based environments, including monitoring system performance, applying updates, and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal uptime and stability.
  • Manage cloud-based services and participate in migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to existing operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain security protocols, and assist in the preparation and execution of compliance certifications (e.g., ISO, SOC).
  • Work with Active Directory for user and group management, and support virtual infrastructure using VMware tools for deployment, maintenance, and scaling of virtual machines.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of best practices for cloud operations and infrastructure management, drawing from hands-on experience and industry standards.

Requirements:
  • Proficient in Linux system administration, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux-based environments, ensuring reliable performance and system availability as a core part of infrastructure operations.
  • Experienced in cloud migration projects, supporting the planning and execution of service transitions to cloud platforms while minimizing downtime and maintaining operational continuity.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Azure services, enabling effective deployment, integration, and management of cloud resources in alignment with enterprise cloud strategies and infrastructure goals.
  • Background in Windows server environments, supporting interoperability in hybrid setups and contributing to seamless integration across diverse operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of VMware technologies, aiding in the administration and optimization of virtualized environments to support scalability and resource efficiency.
  • Exposure to infrastructure security practices, contributing to compliance efforts and supporting data protection by aligning systems with established security frameworks and controls.
