Job Summary

Hovione is an international Contract Development and Manufacturing Company dedicated to helping Pharmaceutical Customers bring new and off-patent drugs to market.



As a Senior Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, you will be responsible for implementing Health, Safety and Environmental Management and Sustainability programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities.



Responsibilities:
  • Implement HSE strategies and action plans in areas of expertise;
  • Adviser for top management in the HSE areas of expertise;
  • Set targets and develop plans to meet those targets;
  • Guarantee effective implementation of HSE procedures;
  • Oversight of internal and external audits in the HSE areas of responsibility;
  • Propose measures to mitigate risks in the HSE areas of expertise;
  • Take part in accident / incident investigations;
  • Oversee the elaboration of management reports and KPI analysis;
  • Guarantee conduction of in-house training on assigned areas of expertise;
  • Ensure risk assessment in the areas of expertise;
  • Maintain knowledge of legislation and updates in areas under responsibility;
  • Coordinate TMs assigned to his/her area of responsibility;
  • Develop and propose activity plan and related budget for the Area under responsibility;
  • Monitor own´s budget and control deviations;
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and HSE guidelines;
  • Assure and promote compliance on Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability.


Requirements
  • Masters' degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field;
  • Professional Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety at work (desired);
  • Professional Certificate in Environmental Legislation (desired);
  • Technical background preferred;
  • 10 years of relevant experience in the HSE area of expertise in a manufacturing environment;
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry (desired);
  • Proven experience in leading others in project context;
  • Effective time management skills and ability to multitask;
  • Track record of overachieving targets;
  • Possess extensive knowledge of HSE area of expertise principles and practices;
  • Advanced knowledge of compliance needs in HSE and GMP;
  • Strong awareness, knowledge and understanding of the HSE regulatory environment;
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Fluency in English (mandatory).
