Job Description

The purpose of this role is to lead a research programme aimed at examining the needs for psychology services in neuromuscular conditions.

This will involve delivering high-quality, patient-centred psychological assessment and therapeutic services in a paediatric setting. The post-holder will work directly with a team to deliver the stated aims of the research within the project timeframe.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive research plan to address the needs of children with neuromuscular conditions.
  • Contribute to the development of paediatric psychology care for children and young people with neuromuscular conditions and their families.
Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A recognised University degree or diploma in Psychology as a major subject, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • A relevant post-graduate professional qualification in Psychology recognised by the relevant governing body.
  • Experience of psychological assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and their families with complex psychological needs.
