Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, implement, and maintain effective health and safety policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements.
  2. Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for mitigation.
  3. Design and deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs for staff, emphasizing a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
  4. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for preventive measures.
  5. Evaluate and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, ensuring its proper use and availability.
  6. Collaborate with site management, contractors, and regulatory authorities to coordinate health and safety initiatives.
  7. Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities, incidents, and inspections.
  8. Stay current with new legislation and best practices, incorporating changes into the safety management system.
Qualifications and Experience:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH).
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and procedures.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a health and safety role, preferably in construction or a similar industry.
