The primary goal of this role is to provide a comprehensive microbiological service to the plant.

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Microbiologist for our manufacturing site in Sligo, Ireland. This position is a part-time job share opportunity with flexible working hours.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and complying with laboratory documentation and computerized systems, ensuring data integrity requirements are met.

  • Maintain accurate records of all tests performed.
  • Ensure compliance with EU/FDA/ICH/HPRA guidelines.
Responsibilities
  • Carry out environmental and product microbiological tests as required.
  • Define and update procedures for the plant related to microbiological and environmental testing.
  • Train laboratory staff in operational tests.
  • PQs.
  • Validation of equipment and test methods for microbiological tests.
  • Test method transfer of microbiological methods.
  • Develop microbiological laboratory procedures.
Requirements
  • Third level qualification in microbiology or a related field.
  • A good understanding of aseptic processes manipulation together with experience within a GLP/GMP environment.
  • Knowledge of current EU/FDA/ICH/HPRA guidelines.
