Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Microbiologist to provide an effective microbiological service to our manufacturing site in Sligo.

  • Maintain laboratory documentation and computerized systems, ensuring data integrity requirements are met.
  • Understand regulations and business processes required to maintain the laboratory.
  • Carry out environmental and product microbiological tests as required.
  • Define and update procedures for the plant related to microbiological and environmental testing.
  • Train laboratory staff in operational tests.
  • Validate equipment and test methods for microbiological tests.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Third-level qualification in microbiology is essential.
  • Good knowledge of aseptic processes manipulation and experience within a GLP/GMP environment is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of current EU/FDA/ICH/HPRA guidelines is required.
  • Relevant industry experience is advantageous.
