Job Description

The Senior Technical Specialist – Azure & Data is a critical role that involves managing, implementing, supporting, and administering Azure Cloud and data technologies within the organisation. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining enterprise solutions built around the Microsoft technology stack.

This role requires working closely with stakeholders to ensure effective deployment and maintenance of Azure and data services. You should be able to clearly demonstrate excellent technical, analytical, organisational, and communication skills together with a proven track record in implementing Cloud solutions.

The key responsibilities include monitoring, documenting, and maintaining system configurations for Cloud services, managing and implementing system deployments and upgrades, working with team members to analyse system architecture and configurations, and collaborating with senior managers to review, develop, plan, and implement strategies for continuous systems improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. At least 5 years of experience within IT, with 2 years hands-on experience administering and/or implementing Azure environments.
  2. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving service-impacting issues.
  3. Understanding of how to design and implement robust Cloud solutions.
  4. Good understanding of Azure with a working knowledge of one or more Azure services including PaaS SQL, App Services, IaaS, Data Factory, Databricks, Azure networking, Azure Monitor, Logic Apps, Application Gateway, Azure Recovery Services, Azure Security Services.
  5. An understanding of network concepts such as TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, and VPN.
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at the appropriate level of detail and technical content for the target audience.
