Reliability Specialist Job Description

The Reliability Specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing asset management and reliability through technical support of the maintenance function and optimization of the site maintenance process.

This specialist is responsible for spearheading the Asset Maintenance Strategy, serving as its primary owner.

Key responsibilities include maintaining the Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) program, analyzing equipment history within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), reducing and improving maintenance work, benchmarking other sites and industries for new emerging technologies and techniques, implementing digital solutions and SMART maintenance, coaching the planner and scheduler to ensure key metrics are met, complying with Quality and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Management System requirements, and running and supporting maintenance projects targeting improvements related to Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the CBM program
  • Analyzes equipment history within the CMMS
  • Reduces and improves maintenance work
  • Benchmarks other sites and industries for new emerging technologies and techniques
  • Implements digital solutions and SMART maintenance
  • Coaches the planner and scheduler
  • Complies with Quality and EHS Management System requirements
  • Runs and supports maintenance projects

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree qualification, preferably mechanical or electrical
  • +5 years of professional experience
  • Desirable +3 years of experience working in a similar role in an industrial environment or within a specialized consultancy
