Key Role Overview

This position plays a crucial part in driving the Director of Participation's initiatives to advance sports participation and physical activity in Ireland through Sport Ireland's network of Local Sports Partnership (LSP).

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the Director of Participation in leading, developing, and promoting sports participation and physical activity in Ireland.
  • Oversee the strategic development of the LSP network and other funded bodies, aligning with National Sports Policy Action 8.
  • Ensure effective administration of grant funding and payments to specific entities, adhering to established financial procedures and programme terms.
  • Collaborate with governmental and non-governmental stakeholders at both national and local levels to foster positive relationships and drive the sport sector forward.
  • Work closely with Sport Ireland units and external agencies to enhance the development of LSPs and other funded bodies.
  • Develop annual budgets and corporate plans in line with Sport Ireland objectives, collaborating with senior management.
  • Represent Sport Ireland Participation at National and Local events, championing the work of the network of LSPs and other funded bodies.
