Seeking a Casualty Underwriter to Contribute to Business Growth

We are looking for a professional who will contribute towards the expansion of General Casualty business across all relevant distribution channels.

  1. Job Description: As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for pre-qualifying accounts and utilizing underwriting acumen to select risks within the company's risk appetite.
  2. New Business Development: You will be expected to expand and develop new business opportunities with brokers and customers.

You should be comfortable working closely with actuaries, the claims team, and underwriters from across the broader team. Strong character, relationship building, and negotiating skills are essential to help lead and further build a profitable book of business.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in Casualty Underwriting.
  • Existing broker and customer relationships, or the ability to quickly develop strong relationships.
  • Experience and understanding of policy forms.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including negotiation and presentation experience.
