Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Specialist to join our team. As a specialist, you will be responsible for performing general ultrasound examinations and undertaking supervised obstetric ultrasound training.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work in our clinic, delivering scheduled general ultrasound services and participating in clinical scanning teaching sessions. They will also engage fully with our structured training programme, maintaining an up-to-date clinical portfolio and working towards achievement of agreed obstetric training milestones.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with recognised best practices.
  2. Undertake supervised obstetric ultrasound training, actively participating in clinical scanning teaching sessions and competency assessments.
  3. Deliver a patient-centred service, ensuring that every patient is treated with dignity, respect, efficiency, and confidentiality.
  4. Engage fully with our structured training programme, maintaining an up-to-date clinical portfolio and working towards achievement of agreed obstetric training milestones.
  5. Adhere to all Health and Safety policies, clinical governance frameworks, and incident reporting procedures to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • CORU registration as a Sonographer.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in general ultrasound or specialisations in MSK, DDH, or paediatrics.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
