Job Opportunity

Musgrave, a family-owned business with a rich legacy in food and brand innovation, is seeking a dynamic Transport Line Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the transport operation, maintaining service levels, and promoting the safety and health of employees.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the management of the transport operation to meet service level targets within budgetary constraints and operational KPIs.
  • Managing work activities to promote employee safety, health, and welfare.
  • Leading the transport team to deliver a best-in-class service to customers.
  • Coordinating with drivers, suppliers, and stores on delivery and collection queries.
  • Supporting the Regional Transport Manager in the development and implementation of an effective transport function.
  • Implementing and operating transport software systems.
  • Managing driver dispatch and debriefs.
  • Monitoring and assessing KPIs and implementing corrective action where necessary.
  • Ensuring compliance with Road Transport, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Quality legislation and training employees accordingly.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure product delivery meets deadlines.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, people management, and customer service skills.

They should have experience in logistics, specifically in managing multiple weekly deliveries, and have managed teams in high-volume environments.

A strong organizational skillset, problem-solving ability, and high computer literacy are essential.

Thorough knowledge of distribution operations, including H&S and HACCP processes, is also required.

Candidates should be customer-focused, driven, and able to maintain focus under pressure.
