Project Cost Management Role

This position involves overseeing the financial aspects of projects, from initial cost assessment to final accounts.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing the entire process including contract administration, procurement, and cost control.

  • Monitor project expenses, identify potential cost overruns and implement corrective actions to prevent losses.
  • Develop and manage cost control systems, prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts to ensure accurate planning.
  • Establish efficient QS processes and reporting systems to improve productivity.
  • Prepare valuations, process payments for subcontractors, and ensure accurate project billing to enhance cash flow and project efficiency.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect project profitability, ensuring sound financial planning for growth.
  • Generate clear, detailed financial reports, including cost-to-complete analyses, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions and project planning.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor with substantial expertise in managing complex contracts.
  • Demonstrable experience of dealing with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly developed commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail.
