Job Opportunity

An accomplished analytical chemist is required to deliver high-quality analytical chemistry services and support to a pharmaceutical client. This 12-month contracting position involves isolating particles from sterile biologics, analyzing data using techniques such as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and Raman spectroscopy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for isolating particles from sterile biologics and determining their origin through rigorous analysis.
  • Provide advanced analytical chemistry services and support to the site.
  • Effective interaction with other departments on matters related to raw materials, intermediates, and finished batches.
  • Maintain, update, and issue chemical methods, specifications, and standard operating procedures in compliance with pharmacopoeial and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with training of analysts in areas of expertise and knowledge.
  • Trend results, record on certificates of analysis where required, and complete out-of-specification investigations on a timely basis.
  • Ensure all quality documentation and records are complete and current.
  • Ensure QC laboratories meet current good laboratory practice requirements.

Requirements:

  • 4 years' experience in the medical device industry.
  • Minimum of a primary degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
  • Experience in process characterization, validation, and statistical methods.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving.

Work Arrangement: This role requires working 3 days on-site and 2 days remotely.
