Job Description

We are seeking a recently qualified accountant to support our ongoing growth.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality services to our diverse client base, including preparation and completion of client files and financial statements, accounts preparation, income tax returns for individuals, sole traders and directors, drafting financial reports and training junior staff in technical aspects of accounts preparation and related tax returns.

  • Preparation and completion of client files and financial statements to a high professional standard within time deadlines both internal and statutory.
  • Inclusive of accounts preparation, and income tax returns for individuals, sole traders and directors.
  • Drafting financial reports as required by client assignment.
  • Training junior staff in all technical aspects of accounts preparation and related tax returns whilst leading them on client assignments.
  • To identify areas of non-compliance with accounting standards and bring these to the attention of the engagement manager.
Demonstrable Experience and Qualifications Required:

You will have at least 1-2 years post qualification experience.

Open to candidates with practice experience who would like to expand their skillset and take on a new challenge.

Relevant degree and an ACA, ACCA or other accounting or relevant qualification.

Business acumen and insight to be an effective business advisor to your clients.

Experience in preparing Irish income tax and related returns.

Experience in presenting to senior management teams along with excellent report writing skills.

Experience in operational supervision of assignments and managing client relationships and expectations.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Strong organisational and planning skills.

Ability to work on own initiative and provide guidance to others.

Experience of working to deadlines and delivering under pressure when required.
