A Day in the Life of a Global Operations Accountant

As a key member of our Global Operations and Supply Chain Controllership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. You will work closely with site finance teams, Tax and Transfer Pricing departments, external auditors, and service providers to support statutory financial statements, Corporate Income Tax reporting, and audit coordination for our Deggendorf manufacturing site.


This is a proactive, self-driven role that requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working across multiple areas of the Finance function.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare financial statements, coordinate audits, and ensure timely statutory and tax filings.
  • Translate US GAAP to local GAAP accounting principles.
  • Support month-end close processes and prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and service providers to meet organizational goals.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar)
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting including HGB experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SAP).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a global manufacturing company.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
  • Knowledge of international accounting standards and practices
  • Fluency in German a distinct advantage
