Associate Director Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our sustainable infrastructure team. This Dublin-based position offers the opportunity to become part of a dynamic company with a defined and transparent career progression path.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary design teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards. They will manage a portfolio of projects, including maintaining strong client relationships and overseeing communications across assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct multidisciplinary design teams to achieve project goals.
  • Manage project portfolios, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Mentor and develop junior project managers in the highways and active travel sector.
  • Supervise and guide both senior and junior team members in the highways and active travel sector.
  • Collaborate with engineering discipline leads and technicians to plan and oversee design work.
  • Prepare technical reports and tender documentation.
  • Cordinate effectively with other members of the project and wider infrastructure team.
Requirements:
  • A degree in civil engineering or a related discipline, with chartered engineer status.
  • A minimum of 15 years post-graduate experience in the design and project management of highways, greenway, and active travel schemes, including delivery of schemes in Ireland.
  • Experience in the delivery of design and build projects is desirable.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary design teams.
  • Strong experience in liaising with clients, external stakeholders, and sub-consultants.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage project budgets.
