Improve Financial Performance as a Credit Management Professional
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Credit Manager to join our team and contribute to safeguarding our company's financial health. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Credit Manager in day-to-day operations of the Credit Control function.
In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring customer compliance with credit limits, reducing bad debt, and driving process improvements across the team. You will also assist with managing the company's credit control function across multiple European offices, monitor and enforce customer compliance with credit limits and payment terms, recommend and arrange payment plans or legal action for high-risk debtors, report on debtor ledger status to the Credit Manager, drive improvements in debtor ageing and monthly cash collections, reduce bad debt exposure and identify risks early, support the development and implementation of improved systems and processes, build and maintain strong relationships with customers to resolve payment issues efficiently, and collaborate with internal teams across sales, logistics, and finance to support smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and optimize credit control functions across multiple locations.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of customer payments and debts.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with customer creditworthiness.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve cash flow and reduce bad debt.
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers to promote effective communication and timely payments.
- Foster collaboration and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in credit control, finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of credit risk management and debt collection principles.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and other relevant software tools.
