Key Role:

Automation Infrastructure Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Configure, program and qualify Rockwell factory talk systems (DCS), thin manager, and asset centre.
  • Understand protocols such as OPC, UPC-UA, MQTT, TCP/IP, and HTTP.
  • Ensure monitoring, alerting and response to network, system, and application issues affecting functionality and availability.
  • Provide automation technical knowledge and support for troubleshooting, investigations, installations, and training.
  • Design and deliver end-to-end data solutions to meet current and future needs.
  • Transition projects from development into production environment.
  • Migrate data from legacy systems to new applications.
  • Act as subject matter expert and technical go-to for historian and data integration solutions.
  • Comply and optimize automation systems.
  • Create, modify and maintain automation systems and documentation.
  • Align with corporate IT infrastructure team.
  • Manage manufacturing dependencies and enterprise system touchpoints.
  • Validate automation systems with QA validation.
  • Implement site change control procedures.
  • Implement preventative maintenance, patching and upgrades.
Expertise Required:
  • Automation platform expertise.
  • Rockwell factory talk systems experience.
  • Protocol understanding (OPC, UPC-UA, MQTT, TCP/IP, HTTP).
  • System monitoring and alerting.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Documentation and process management.
