Nursing and Midwifery Planning Role
About the Position:
- This is a permanent full-time vacancy in a Nursing and Midwifery Planning Unit.
- The successful candidate will work with the team to develop and implement nursing and midwifery strategies.
- Duties will include planning, developing and implementing policies and procedures related to nursing and midwifery services.
- Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience working in a similar role.
- This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals to contribute their expertise to shaping healthcare policy and practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Nursing and Midwifery Planning: Develop and implement plans to improve nursing and midwifery services, including patient care and staff development.
- Policy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to create policies and procedures that support high-quality nursing and midwifery care.
- Quality Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in nursing and midwifery services and implement changes to enhance patient outcomes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in nursing and midwifery.
Requirements:
- A relevant qualification in nursing or midwifery (e.g. Bachelor's degree, Master's degree).
- Registration with the relevant regulatory body (e.g. An Bord Altranais).
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar role or in a relevant field (e.g. healthcare management, policy development).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
