About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Global Deputy Lead - Compliance Systems and Controls. This role will involve developing and maintaining compliance systems, working closely with the Head of Compliance Systems and Controls, and driving innovation within the Compliance division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain compliance systems in areas such as name screening, crypto transaction screening, KYC/KYB, AML, post-transaction monitoring, and market surveillance.
  • Apply modern data science techniques, including Machine Learning models and LLMs, to optimize compliance processes and enhance system efficiency.
  • Tune compliance models and thresholds to meet evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all change control processes and documentation meet regulatory standards.
  • Oversee a model validation program and produce MIS reports to track performance and compliance effectiveness.
  • Optimize Customer Risk Scoring Models and customer screening rules to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Integrate Travel Rule data into screening and monitoring systems for effective compliance.
  • Improve case management platforms and workflows to increase operational efficiencies within the compliance team.
  • Guide team leads in project management and organizational skills, while addressing any compliance knowledge gaps.
Requirements
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 10 years in Compliance, with at least 5+ years focused on Compliance Systems development and data analytics.
  • Minimum of 6 years managing teams or overseeing managers/team leads.
  • Strong understanding of compliance controls and experience in KYC, AML, crypto transaction screening, and other regulatory areas.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead teams from strategy and ideation to implementation, ensuring effective model validation and testing.
  • Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (advanced degrees in computer science, data science, or related fields preferred).
  • Certifications:
  • Compliance-related certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFE) are preferred.
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or Agile project management certifications are a plus.
  • Crypto Knowledge: Working knowledge and interest in cryptocurrencies and digital currencies.
  • Consulting Skills: Strong skills in problem-solving, communication, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
