Energy Regulation Role

We are seeking a Senior Energy Analyst to manage the strategic regulatory environment facing our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review regulatory consultations and assess their impact on the business.
  • Coordinate energy policy positions with key teams, including liaising with stakeholders.
  • Develop policy and response papers for regulatory submissions.
  • Support the implementation of regulatory rules as efficiently as possible through strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams in relation to regulation and policy positions.
  • Represent the organization at industry fora and discuss changes that meet the needs of the business and its stakeholders.
Experience and Qualifications
  • A third-level qualification or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum 7 years' experience in the energy or wider utilities industry, ideally with previous experience interacting with regulatory authorities and representing at industry fora.
  • An appreciation of the regulatory environment and markets, as well as a good understanding of government and European energy policy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including drafting response documents to regulatory authorities and industry bodies.
  • Excellent analytical capability, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to form relationships at all levels and have strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, including presenting material to senior management and industry fora.
