Job Description

As a Senior Regulation Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the forward-looking strategic energy regulatory environment facing our organization. You will provide expert interpretation on market and policy regulations, assess impacts and opportunities, and lead specific projects and work activities driven by regulatory changes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Regulatory Review: Review regulatory and other industry consultations to assess impact on the business.
  2. Policy Development: Coordinate development of energy policy positions, liaising with key teams, and develop policy and response papers.
  3. Stakeholder Management: Support ESB Customer Solutions to implement regulatory and industry rules efficiently, through development of strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Coordinate collaboration and knowledge sharing across ESB Customer Solutions in relation to regulation and policy positions.
  5. Industry Representation: Represent ESB Customer Solutions at Industry Fora and discuss and present changes that meet the needs of the policy owner and the business.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualification: A third-level qualification or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: A minimum 7 years' experience in the energy or wider utilities industry, ideally with previous experience interacting with Regulatory Authorities and representing at industry fora.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, including drafting of response documents to Regulatory Authorities, industry bodies, Government Departments etc.
