
Financial Records Specialist

Maintaining accurate financial records is crucial for the success of any organisation. As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
The ideal candidate will have solid accounting fundamentals and a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles.
This role involves processing invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner, as well as preparing and posting journal entries.
You will also be responsible for maintaining fixed asset registers, calculating depreciation, and monitoring accounts receivable and payable.
Assisting with VAT returns preparation and submission, supporting external audit processes, and maintaining filing systems are also key responsibilities.
Key Skills- Proficient in Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, advanced formulas)
- Experience with computerised accounting systems (Xero or similar)
- Strong academic background in accounting, finance, or related field
- Accounting Technician qualification (AAT Level 3 or 4) OR Currently studying towards ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification
