Community Integration Specialist

This role involves supporting individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities to integrate into the local community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support service users with an intellectual/physical disability, autism
  • Maintain company vehicles in good working order with attention to hygiene and presentation
  • Alert support team when any item or service is needed for the vehicle
  • Ensure service users are supported to make sense of their environment, learn new skills and maximise their independence
  • Assist individuals with their daily living activities
  • Support individuals to live a meaningful life, with a priority focus on equal citizenship
  • Facilitate everyone supported by the services to actively participate and integrate into the community
  • Act as an advocate for clients/residents
  • Provide reports on client activities to management
Requirements
  • Ability to work with individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities
  • Safe driving habits and vehicle maintenance knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks related to the role
