Occupational Therapist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate occupational therapist to work within our community mental health team in South Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for an occupational therapist to gain valuable experience in mental health within a well-structured HSE environment.

  • The role involves the assessment, planning, implementation, and review of treatment / intervention programmes for service users.
  • You will work closely with service users, family, carers, and other staff in treatment / intervention planning and in the provision of support and advice.
  • As a member of our team, you will have access to mentorship, peer support, and ongoing professional development opportunities through a busy occupational therapy department.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment, planning, implementation, and review of treatment / intervention programmes for service users.
  • Manage own caseload in accordance with the needs of the post.
  • Collaborate with service users, family, carers, and other staff in treatment / intervention planning and in the provision of support and advice.
  • Document all assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, reports, and discharge summaries in accordance with local service and professional standards.
Requirements
  • BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy.
  • CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Previous experience in mental health desirable.
  • HSE mandatory training completed (or willingness to complete before starting).
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
