As a seasoned professional, you will take on the role of Conference and Banqueting Manager in a dynamic 4-star hotel environment. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the Conference & Banqueting team to maximize productivity and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- You will manage the day-to-day operations of the department to ensure maximum revenue and service delivery.
- Achieve optimum performance metrics by monitoring overall service quality, interaction with other departments, and ensuring accurate charges for meetings, conferences, and dinners.
- Work closely with Sales and other Food & Beverage outlets to guarantee compliance with specifications for weddings, conferences, and events.
To excel in this role, you must have extensive knowledge of departmental equipment, including technical systems such as audio-visual equipment.
Performance Metrics:- Ensure that all meeting and conference expenses are accurately recorded and followed up before guests depart.
- Collaborate with Sales and other departments to ensure seamless event execution, adhering to client specifications and requirements.
- Guarantee timely preparation and distribution of banquet orders, maintaining adequate inventory of necessary equipment and supplies.
Your focus on profitability will involve negotiating competitive conference and banqueting rates aligned with hotel objectives, driving revenue growth while maintaining exceptional customer experiences.
Requirements:- A minimum of three years' experience in a similar position within a busy 4-star hotel with an excellent reputation.
- Demonstrated proficiency in spoken and written English, with strong IT skills.
- Current legal authorization to live and work in Ireland is mandatory.
