The demand planning manager role is crucial to the success of a beverage supply chain and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience in consensus forecasting tools/systems and designing an integrated business planning process, strong analytical skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

About This Role

This position involves leading the development and implementation of demand forecasting processes and procedures for a beverage company. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate demand forecasts that drive supply chain planning, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining statistical/machine learning models.

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data for developing accurate demand forecasts.
  2. Develop and maintain statistical/machine learning models and forecast tools to improve forecast accuracy.
  3. Analyze forecast results to identify trends and areas for improvement, adjusting the forecasting approach as necessary.
  4. Design and implement an Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process to align demand forecasts across functions.
  5. Leverage Sector/Market S&OP processes to gather input on events and new product launches affecting demand.
  6. Work with Operations and Supply Chain teams to ensure production plans align with demand forecasts.
  7. Monitor inventory levels to optimize stock levels, minimizing stock-outs or overstocks.
  8. Prepare and present regular forecast accuracy reports with key insights and recommended actions to senior management.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and customers to ensure demand forecasts align with customer expectations.
Requirements
  • A third-level qualification in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Data Science, or a relevant field.
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with supporting consensus forecasting tools/systems and designing IBP processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
