Job Title: Investment Fund Legal Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Investment Fund Legal Specialist to join our team. As an Investment Fund Legal Specialist, you will play a key role in reviewing and drafting legal documents related to public and private investment fund formation and maintenance, cross-border distribution, and ongoing investment fund governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and drafting legal documents for investment funds, including prospectuses, offering memoranda, and other regulatory filings.
  • Preparing legal memoranda for clients on various topics related to investment funds, cross-border matters, and securities law.
  • Conducting research on investment funds law and market practice in European and non-European jurisdictions.
  • Supporting fund governance processes and company secretarial matters, such as fund board meetings.
  • Tracking developments in investment fund law and creating informational material for internal and external parties.
  • Reviewing and negotiating contracts related to the asset management industry.
  • Compiling and completing applications for financial regulators in various countries and associated communications.
  • Using legal knowledge of investment funds to support legal technology, specifically for leveraging generative AI and Large Language Models.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Some knowledge and interest in UCITS, AIFMD, and European investment law.
  • Completed or near completion of FE1 exams.
  • Dedication to completing solicitor training for the next two years and potentially progressing to a permanent position with us.
  • Strong curiosity and desire to learn about international law, foreign market practice, and global developments.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.
  • Natural conscientiousness and meticulousness.
  • Strong sense of ownership, duty, and responsibility for your work.
