Job Description

A strategic and experienced Executive is required to lead the Transport Operations function. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Department and work closely with senior management and stakeholders to drive business growth.

The key objective of this role is to oversee the development and implementation of a new transport model, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. This will involve managing stakeholder relationships, developing service specifications, and conducting pilot tests to evaluate operational effectiveness.

The Executive will be responsible for establishing a robust stakeholder management plan, developing a framework for service specification, and managing route optimisation and technology integration. They will also finalise groundwork for procurement by preparing specifications and ensuring alignment with the designed model.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Establish and lead a stakeholder management plan
  • Develop a service specification framework
  • Manage route optimisation and technology integration
  • Conduct pilot tests to evaluate operational effectiveness of the transport model
  • Finalise groundwork for procurement

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have previous experience in executive leadership capacity, ideally within a transport function. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work as part of a team environment, self-manage, and prioritise daily workload are essential. Effective communication skills with the ability to lead and influence at all levels are also crucial. Additionally, strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary for success in this role.
