Life Insurance Underwriter Role

We are seeking a skilled Life Insurance Underwriter to assess applications for Life and Serious Illness products and resolve any challenges that may arise.

  • Make accurate and timely decisions in line with company guidelines, ensuring high-quality assessments.
  • Manage and resolve any challenges to decisions by clearly explaining the reasons behind them.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including customers and advisers.
  • Promote quality within the team by identifying errors, analyzing root causes to prevent recurrence.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Act with integrity and maintain a positive, proactive attitude.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Fluency in written and spoken German is essential.
  • A couple of years of market experience with underwriting authority for life or serious illness, or relevant risk claims experience; alternatively, a medical qualification such as nursing.
  • A relevant business or industry qualification, or a medical degree.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage time and workload.
