Sustainable Health and Safety Specialist

The role of a Health and Safety Professional is crucial in ensuring the well-being of personnel on construction sites. Reporting to the HSE Manager, this position involves delivering health and safety advice and support to site-based staff and others.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert guidance and support to colleagues, subcontractors, and other third parties.
- Accurately report accidents, incidents, and near misses in a timely manner and assist with investigations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments as required and implement corrective actions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety policies and procedures and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives and communicate lessons learnt to stakeholders.
- A bachelor's degree in health and safety or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Previous main contractor experience (building and/or civil) in Ireland or the UK.
- A solid understanding of health and safety legislation and emerging trends in management.
- Self-motivation, excellent initiative, and ability to resolve issues quickly.
