Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Solicitor to join our dynamic legal team. This exceptional opportunity involves managing high-value High Court claims across Casualty and Property, Risks & Coverage (PRC) areas within a leading legal services firm dedicated to the insurance sector.

About the Role

As a Senior Solicitor, you will handle a diverse caseload of complex High Court cases including subrogated recoveries and a wide range of PRC claims such as property damage, recoveries, policy advice, indemnity disputes, fraud, subsidence, construction, agriculture, product liability, and both household and commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload of high-value High Court claims
  • Communicate effectively with insurer clients, loss adjusters, and other stakeholders
  • Conduct detailed analysis of complex quantum and liability issues, including medical records and expert instructions
  • Draft legal advice, pleadings, statements, and court applications
  • Instruct counsel and attend mediations, conferences, trials, and settlement discussions
  • Supervise and develop junior team members including Legal Assistants and Paralegals
  • Maintain accurate case management systems and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in business development and team initiatives

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must be a qualified solicitor with relevant experience in indemnity, liability, and quantum matters. Strong analytical, communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to manage a demanding workload under pressure with attention to detail.
