Senior Health and Safety Advisor

Overview: We seek a skilled health and safety professional to join our team in Galway. As a key member, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality safety advisory services to clients.
The Role:
- Reviewing designs and designer risk assessments to ensure compliance with H+S legislation;
- Attending design coordination meetings, site & stakeholder meetings;
- Coordinating residual hazards and risks;
- Providing competent advice to clients and designers on compliance with legislation and best practice;
- Managing contractor safety and reviewing contractor safety documentation;
- Managing dedicated projects, including finance requirements of dedicated projects;
- General health and safety consultancy services to clients;
- Health and safety support as part of project bids;
- Providing technical support to all office projects in the areas of design safety, including coordination of design safety;
Requirements:
- Relevant Health and Safety Degree/Diploma qualifying for membership of IOSH or Engineering Degree recognised by Engineers Ireland with post qualification Safety specific training;
- Certificate of attendance at Engineers Ireland/ACEI PSDP CPD training;
- Sound knowledge of safety in design and construction safety;
- Experience in developing and improving company safety policies, culture, and systems;
- Competent report writing with good time management skills and the ability to prioritise work and manage tasks concurrently across several projects;
