Job Title

A Project Engineer is required to join a busy construction project in Cork. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting out for residential and commercial new builds, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Setting out and checking works as required for the project, ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
- Performing quality checks on works completed to ensure they meet high standards.
- Supporting the project manager to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in an engineering role, with a strong understanding of setting out instruments and temporary works coordination.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with site personnel, subcontractors, and management team.

Skills and Qualifications

This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. The successful candidate will also have:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-aided design software.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
