Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydrology, hydraulics, and water management, with experience in delivering consulting services for mining projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptual model development, engineering design, hydrology, mine water management, stormwater management, water balance assessment, dam break assessment, flood modelling, and water quality assessments.

They will also assist in developing projects supporting climate change reporting, resilience, and adaptation, including nature-based solutions.

Additionally, the Water Resources Engineer will be responsible for project coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and planning, as well as mentoring junior staff to support career development, technical excellence, and commercial awareness.

Travel and site work will be required, with opportunities to work on local, regional, and international consulting projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, hydrology, or a related field; postgraduate qualification desirable.
  • Previous experience conducting hydrologic and hydraulic assessments and design of water management infrastructure.
  • Technical report writing skills and ability to guide/peer review contributions.
  • Experience of project management or coordination and financial tracking skills.
