Capital Markets Compliance Role

The company is seeking a senior compliance associate to join its dedicated Capital Markets compliance team. This position involves monitoring trading activities, ensuring adherence to relevant legal and regulatory requirements, and implementing solutions to address compliance challenges.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze trade surveillance alerts, electronic communications, and telephone communications
  • Support the firm's obligations under Market Abuse Regulation, including insider lists, market soundings, and investment recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with MiFID II and MiFIR obligations, including best execution, transaction reporting, and trade reporting
  • Undertake pre- and post-trade checks for staff dealing
  • Provide compliance training as necessary
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, such as the Central Bank and FCA
  • Analyze new regulations to determine their impact on the firm and implement necessary changes
Requirements:
  • Relevant 3rd level degree (Business, Finance, Law, or equivalent) and/or audit/legal/compliance qualification
  • Minimum 3 years working in a financial services industry with a good understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to capital markets and corporate finance
  • Strong desire to work in a compliance team with good investigative instincts and background
  • Understanding of markets and trading is desirable
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High-level competence in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Power BI
