Sustainability Opportunities

In this dynamic role, you'll be instrumental in driving the day-to-day implementation of sustainability initiatives aligned with company objectives and progress towards net zero by 2050. Your focus will be on tracking performance against sustainability targets, analysing data, and supporting sustainability reporting.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sustainability to shape and implement the IPB Sustainability Strategy.
  • Contribute to the development and advancement of the Climate Transition Plan in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Collect and analyse greenhouse gas emissions data from various business departments to assess insurance-related emissions.
  • Collect and analyse ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data from across the organisation.
  • Prepare draft sustainability reports and assist in monitoring progress towards Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and regulatory requirements.

Additional Tasks:
  • Support internal departments in identifying and developing specific sustainability KPIs.
  • Co-ordinate the integration of sustainability practices and ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Organise sustainability-related events such as Awareness Week campaigns, volunteer initiatives, or participation in industry forums.

Requirements:
  • Experience in the field of Sustainability/ESG.
  • Background in the financial services sector is advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of sustainability concepts, regulations, and compliance requirements in the finance sector would be a significant asset.
  • A relevant third-level qualification in Sustainability, Sustainable Finance or a related field would be beneficial.
