Senior Technical Lead for Automation

This role is ideal for a highly skilled and experienced professional looking to take their career to the next level. As a key member of our engineering team, you will provide technical leadership and support to the improvement, installation, start-up, validation, and transfer of replicant automated manufacturing equipment.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical knowledge and leadership in controls, sensor technologies, and various inspection systems used in automated manufacturing lines
  • Aligning with cross-functional stakeholders on requirements, improvements, needs, cost, and capacity initiatives that meet agreed upon transfer targets
  • Assessing the efficacy, robustness, and reliability of controls, sensor, and inspection hardware/software solutions proposing improvements where necessary
  • Couching and mentoring junior controls engineers
  • Providing technical expertise and overseeing the resolution of technical issues related to controls, machine vision, servo systems, and various sensor technologies used in automated manufacturing and test equipment

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or Master's degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience, or PhD and 0-2 years of experience
  • A strong background in implementing and supporting controls systems, HMI's, sensor technology, servo drive technology, and machine vision systems into automated manufacturing equipment
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing, preferably high volume manufacturing
  • Excellent technical problem-solving and risk management skills
  • A strong understanding of risk management policies and procedures associated with medical device manufacturing
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
