Leading Mental Health Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary mental health team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient-centered psychiatric services for adults within community and inpatient settings.
The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical leadership, assessment, diagnosis, and management of adult patients with a wide range of psychiatric disorders, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across primary, community, and acute settings.
- Provide direct psychiatric care to adult service users in accordance with policy and legislation.
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary community mental health team (CMHT).
- Supervise and support junior doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals.
- Engage in service planning, development, and continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in on-call rota as required by the service.
- Contribute to training, teaching, audit, and research activities as part of the consultant role.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Registration as a specialist in the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland, in the specialty of Psychiatry.
- Extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of general adult psychiatric disorders.
- Proven ability to lead and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication, clinical, and organisational skills.
