Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate mechanical cost estimates and ensuring timely submission of tenders.

This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale mechanical projects and gain exposure to technically challenging bids, modern building systems, and innovative design-build opportunities.

  • Conduct in-depth reviews of tender documentation including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Perform accurate quantity take-offs and populate pricing documents accordingly.
  • Obtain and assess competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Presentation of completed estimates to senior management for review and approval.
  • Tender document control and collaboration with electrical estimators.
  • Risk identification and opportunity highlighting to the estimating manager at an early stage.
  • Mentorship and support for junior members within the mechanical estimation team.

Key Requirements:

  • 3-4 years experience in mechanical cost estimating within a contracting environment.
  • A solid understanding of mechanical and process pipework systems, HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical building services.
  • Familiarity with various mechanical and process pipework materials.
  • Proficient in interpreting drawings and specifications, performing accurate take-offs, and preparing detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong numerical and analytical skills.
