Role: Senior Estimator - Pre-Construction

Location: Donabate, Dublin

You are a driven and experienced professional looking to join our commercial team as a senior in Donabate. You will utilise your expertise in the construction sector to manage the cost estimation process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all estimates.

This role requires strong negotiation skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to focus on exact requirements for specific opportunities. As a key member of our estimating function, you will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership to a team of professionals, ensuring high-standard bid submissions and delivering category awards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop excellence in the estimating function, ensuring accurate and timely estimates aligned with client requirements.
  • Manage the cost estimation process, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and leading a team of estimators.
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure high-standard bid submissions.
  • Provide a full and professional estimating service to support Commercial leads in defining the scope of Modular Hire Projects; contribute to cost and margin calculations with a commercial mindset.
  • Develop Bid Documentation, Project BOQ and Budgets; evaluate contractor and supplier bids and deliver category awards.
  • Support the procurement process by preparing cost estimates and leading contract analysis.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A relevant degree or Design/Technical Qualification.
  • Estimating / Bid / order negotiation experience within Construction.
  • Strong understanding of costs, mark-ups, and margins.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and leading teams.
