Estimator Position

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tenders, researching and gathering relevant information, and submitting competitive bids.

The Role

  • Work closely with various business areas to ensure effective undertaking of estimating duties.
  • Process initial inquiries and prepare tender submissions.
  • Manage and control costs on projects, preparing cost value comparisons and projected final accounts.
  • Review and approve weekly/monthly labour, sub-contractor, and materials invoices/orders.
  • Research and negotiate best quotes from subcontractors/suppliers.
  • Liaise with key project team members and clients/subcontractors.
  • Prepare take-offs and undertake estimates and final account settlements.
  • Mark up enquiries to be sent out to the supply chain, organise bills of quantities production, and obtain material quotes where necessary.
  • Monitor sub-contractor performance and record additional works for presentation to project teams.

Requirements

  • A higher-level qualification in Engineering or a construction-related field.
  • 5+ years of Estimation experience.
  • Extensive experience in the Fit-Out sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
