At Sensori Group, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join our Dublin-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual with expertise in mechanical estimating to contribute to the growth of our Project Division.

This role involves evaluating tender documents, preparing detailed internal reports, and accurately estimating labour, material, plant, and equipment costs. You will be responsible for managing estimating processes, systems, and data, as well as liaising with the Procurement team and supply chain to ensure competitive subcontractor and supplier pricing.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical estimating in the Irish construction market. A trade qualification, Quantity Surveying or Mechanical Engineering background is desirable. Experience in data centre and/or design & build projects is highly advantageous.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate tender documents for commercial viability, technical risks, and competitiveness, and prepare detailed internal reports.
  • Accurately estimate labour, material, plant, and equipment costs.
  • Issue detailed material and subcontractor enquiries for pre-designed projects and follow up to ensure timely return of quotations.
  • Manage estimating processes and systems in coordination with the Line Manager, maintaining up-to-date labour rates and prime cost data.
  • Liaise with the Procurement team and supply chain to ensure competitive subcontractor and supplier pricing.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical estimating in the Irish construction market.
  • Strong knowledge of the Irish supply chain and familiarity with local design consultants.
  • Proven ability to independently develop mechanical tender submissions for complex projects valued at €3-5M+.
  • A trade qualification, Quantity Surveying or Mechanical Engineering background is desirable.
  • Experience in data centre and/or design & build projects is highly advantageous.
