Job Title: Senior MEP Cost Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior MEP Cost Manager/Estimator to work closely with clients and colleagues to deliver comprehensive cost management services. This role involves actively partnering with clients, assisting in creating cost analysis feedback and lessons learned for future projects, analyzing data and identifying areas requiring further investigation during the Bid Evaluation process, negotiating with contractors, preparing budget cost estimates, and resolving commercial, change order, and contract issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with clients to respond to their requests accurately and promptly.
  • Create cost analysis feedback and lessons learned for future projects.
  • Analyze data and identify areas requiring further investigation during the Bid Evaluation process.
  • Negotiate with contractors to agree on material quantities based on detailed designs.
  • Prepare budget cost estimates from proof of concept design to detailed design stages.
  • Resolve commercial, change order, and contract issues efficiently and fairly.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a cost manager on large-scale construction projects with leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of M&E systems and ability to read services drawings and schematics, especially mechanical.
  • Degree or comparable experience in mechanical engineering or surveying.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership.
